My first experience of real graphic design was work experience at my mums work during the summers in the graphic design department. In 1999 I started as a graphic designer and technical assistant. In 2001, I attended NESCOL (North East Scotland College) formerly Aberdeen College to study graphic communication. I worked at the company for a while until it failed.
Then was my chance to design and create my first logo for a new startup which i was to be involved in, that startup later sold for a £1,000,000 or so a few years later and I was kept on as senior graphic designer for the group and worked there 15years before leaving. 5years prior to leaving I started freelancing under the name of Brand4Brand to get a bit of variety in my design work.
In 2019 I founded Fifty Fifty
. As Founder of branding and design agency Fifty Fifty
, I consult with Directors and execs of some of the world’s most exciting companies, while writing and speaking on the topics of business strategy, design, and innovation.
I won’t be quitting my day job anytime soon and carrying on my mission to put Aberdeen on the map for branding and design.
